Dr Joubert was born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa.  He came to Canada after practising for five years in South Africa.  He completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at the University of the Free State in South Africa and has worked in various hospitals throughout his career.  

 

He currently holds an associate professor position at the University of Calgary and a clinical lecturer role at the University of British Columbia.

Dr Joubert’s medical practice covers all ages and maternity patients up to 32 weeks.  He underwent special training in emergency medicine and enjoy working in the ER.

​

He has a passion for winemaking which brought him to the sunny Okanagan.  He loves the outdoors and travelling. 

 

Dr Joubert speaks English and Afrikaans.
