Dear Patients,

We’d like to share a few updates with you:

Welcoming Dr Andrew Orhorho

We are pleased to welcome Dr. Andrew Orhorho to Wesmed. Dr. Orhorho is an experienced family physician who recently moved to Canada and who will eventually settle in the community of 100 Mile House. Dr. Orhorho, who is also a BC Practice Readiness Assessment (PRA) candidate like Drs. Kay Ogunbunmi and Sinan Jibrael, who spent three months with us before, will be guided by Dr. Joubert in navigating the BC healthcare system for the next three months while he is with us.

Dr. Orhorho is available to book through the patient portal for in-person and telephone visits for patients of Dr. Wessel Joubert and NP Lisa Corsie for any concerns.

He will also handle chronic disease management (CDM) visits for hypertension, diabetes, and cholesterol for both providers’ patients.

Given that his appointment slots will be longer, it is the perfect opportunity to discuss your medical history, address current concerns and ensure your chart is up-to-date.

Patient Portal Messages

As always, we wish to remind patients that patient portal messages serve administrative needs only and are not reviewed by a provider. Your provider may send occasional messages and results to you, but please book an appointment for any medical concerns.

Our clinic now aligns with all labs in Penticton and surrounding areas, so your lab requisitions can be completed at the location that works best for you. Here are common booking options:

Dynacare — Skaha Lake Rd (walk-in)

Dynacare — Ellis St (appointments-only)

Interior Health — Penticton Regional Hospital Laboratory (walk-in and appointments)
